MY STORY

By day I am a chocolate maker but by night I love to create tiny gardens. I have been lucky enough to see a lot of the world, but NZ stole my heart and I moved here from OZ in 2015, renovated an old building and opened a very busy chocolate shop (The Lawrence Mint) all while falling madly in love with the abundant beauty and the peaceful scenery here. I am an avid gardener and lover of small things so after 8 busy years making chocolates and desserts by hand I decided to slow down a bit and now spend my days cooking, teaching classes, sharing my craft and creating art in my little hand-built off grid cottage.

I strive for a peaceful life and live very simply. I am constantly creating or writing or drawing and I hope my work shares the little things that we may miss each day. The hidden beauty all around us that is fascinating and delightful! once you see it, it cant be unseen. Each handmade garden and illustration is unique, featuring creatures, plants or places from my life. I want everyone to experience the joy of simplicity so I created my 'tiny kits' which invite you to become moss hunters and grass collectors and join the lovers of small things and nature.
